Geography Project!

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all keeping well. In light of the situation, I thought it would be fun to give the children a creative and fun but educational project to get their teeth into! You can do as much or as little as you like to get involved with this project.

Our Wonderful World –  I would like the children to find out about our wonderful world. This could be focusing on one continent or more than one to compare. They can learn about:

The climate/weather, cultural differences, food, clothing or languages they speak.

Here are some activities for you to try if you feel appropriate:

Make a paper mache globe: Activity Sheet Making a Papier Mache

Write a travel brochure: Activity Sheet My Travel Brochur

Create a colourful labelled map: Activity Sheet Mapping The World

Using your map of the world or a new one, cut it up to make a jigsaw: Activity Sheet Mapping The World

Continents booklet: What a Wonderful World My Seven Continents Mini Book

Use google earth to explore your chosen continent: https://www.google.co.uk/intl/en_uk/earth/

Lastly, make a poster about your chosen continent or country with all the things you have learnt and send them to our class email. CaradocClass@stokeontern.shropshire.sch.uk

The songs the children love to sing in class about continents and Oceans:

I do hope you can all get involved in some way, and I look forward to seeing your creations and possibly sharing your work on our class page!
