We would like to thank everyone for taking the time to complete and return our ‘Safer School’ questionnaire. The feedback about the safety of our school site was overwhelmingly positive and we are pleased to announce that we have been awarded Safer School status for another year.
A number of concerns were raised, through the questionnaire, about traffic and parking outside the school grounds. These issues were discussed at length with PC Alan Ambrose from West Mercia Police, who advised us to liaise with the Parish Council who, in-turn, will raise your concerns with Shropshire Council. One of our school governors has kindly volunteered to do this. We are also exploring the possibility of purchasing our own portable signage, which PC Ambrose recommended. In the meantime, we would like to log any incidents or near-misses which occur on the road; we can then pass this information on to the Parish Council. If you experience any issues, please let Mrs. Evans (Acting Head) know, either by popping into school, or by email or telephone.
