Week beginning 11.5.20

Hi,

We hope you all had a lovely weekend and managed to celebrate VE day in some way- we were so lucky with the weather!

BBC Bitesize has published the schedule for the week ahead so please take a look (remember, you might need to look at the previous year group if your child is struggling to access their year group-this is completely fine!).

TELLING THE TIME

I know that some parents are choosing to focus on teaching their child to tell the time. This is a great life skill and whilst it can be hard-going ( to say the least!), your time won’t be wasted.

DAILY ARITHMETIC PRACTICE ( if you manage nothing else, keep doing this!)

WRITING IDEAS

The children are familiar with the ‘Kindness Boomerang’, they could watch the video and then write the story to go alongside it ( they could write a little each day-don’t forget to remind them about use of full stops and capital letters).

Remember, these are suggested ideas if you need them.

We’ll be very happy to support if we can and to hear how you are getting on ( housmanclass@stokeontern.shropshire.sch.uk).
