A very special visitor came to see us!

We were all so excited to see Miss Shelly and to meet little Isaac!

Cross Country Superstars!

Well done to all the children who took part in the cross country at the Grove School in Market Drayton. I was blown away by the children’s resilience and sportsmanship, they were so enthusiastic and proud of each other after each race. It was a delight to see.

The children pictured above came in the top 6 out of 50+ children to qualify for the second rounds. From left to right George came 5th in the year 5 boys , Sophie 3rd in the year 5 girls, Sophia 2nd in the year 6 girls and Catherine 2nd at her first cross country competition in year 3.

Engineers of the future

Pupils showed off their potential as engineers of the future at the 2019 STEM ( Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Challenge. Pupils were given the day to come up with a wildlife centre design in a challenge intended to test their skills under pressure, including budgeting and purchasing the materials required from a ‘shop’ set up for the competition.

Junior Cadets

Pupils in Year 6 will be taking part in a 6 week junior cadet programme staffed and funded by West Mercia police. It is designed to develop children’s leadership skills, community awareness and an understanding of the diverse work of the police, through a range of fun and exciting activities.

Exploring tone

The children went outside and sketched different objects. They used shading to create light, medium and dark tones.
