Delightful Division!

This week Caradoc have been using their knowledge of multiplication to help them to divide by different numbers. They did a great job of answering division word problems!

PSHE Circle Time Session

As we are coming to the second half of the academic year, we believe it’s more appropriate for the children to begin moving away from show and tell sessions and focus on personal, social and emotional aspects. In light of this, we ask that the children bring in things that they are proud of once a month starting from when they return to school on the 25th February. This could include;

  • medals/certificates
  • creations/built models
  • memorabilia or a souvenir

Again we ask that you do not let your child bring in any toys to show. For more information about the PSHE topics Caradoc will be covering please see the termly overviews: https://www.stokeonternschool.org.uk/home/parents-area/classes/caradocclass-information/

Parents 4 Schools Online Payment Guide for Parents

We have a new online payment system through Shropshire Council for parents to make payments from their bank cards or by PayPal directly to us.

Payments can be made for school dinners, visits, fundraising events, wraparound care………virtually anything we ask for payments for!

Every family should receive letters today with instructions on how to use the system (instructions also attached to this page) along with each child’s unique payment reference.

We hope parents find this a valuable system. However if you have any queries or problems using the system please contact a member of the office staff or use the ‘contact us’ tab on the council pages or the council telephone number for additional help out of normal school hours.Parent 4 Schools (P4S) Parent User Guide

Marvellous Gymnasts!

This term we are working on our gymnastics skills, this week the children were  exploring the equipment and working on their leadership skills. Each group had a leader, all other children had to follow the leader and practice their listening and group collaboration!

A Date for your Diary!

World Book Day is on its way!

World Book Day will be celebrated nationally on Thursday 7th March. We will be holding a series of book related events for pupils to share our love of reading. On Friday 8th March, children (and staff) can come into school dressed as a book character.

Here’s a link to the World Book Day website, which has some great ideas for easy to put together costumes:
