End of the week message from Mrs. Evans.

Dear Darwin families,

We have had a very busy week in Darwin class again. This week we have really got to grips with algebraic expressions and we have enjoyed reading the first three chapters of Stig of the Dump. We have had some very interesting discussions about hunting and we have also learned about Stevenson’s Rocket. A varied and interesting week!

This week’s award winners:

Summer has been awarded the writing certificate for her excellent writing, which is not only detailed and interesting but is also beautifully presented.

Lily-Anne has earned the red certificate for her excellent attitude to her work. She always tries really hard – especially in mathematics lessons!

Homework this week is to have a go at an arithmetic paper, which was sent home with your child today. This needs to be brought into school on Tuesday morning, as we will look at the tricky questions together as part of our maths lesson that day.

Have a great bank holiday weekend, everyone. Let’s hope the sun keeps shining!

Mrs. E.
