**Please note that, due to the Covid-19 crisis, lunchtime arrangements have been adapted. For further information, please see documents in the ‘news’ section of the website.**
We have an excellent school kitchen and dedicated staff who prepare and cook meals freshly on site each day. Menus and payment details can be found over in our Parents’ Area on our Lunch Menu & Payment page.
All children from Reception through to Year 2 are eligible for free school meals everyday.
The school caterers provide an excellent choice of nutritionally balanced lunches, cooked daily in our superb, recently refurbished school kitchen. We request that where dinner money is paid it is paid electronically (please telephone the office for more details). If this is not possible, dinner money should be sent into school with your child, in an envelope clearly marked with your child’s name. This can be handed to the class teacher or TA during register time.
You may wish to provide your child with a packed lunch. Please ensure that this is brought in a container clearly marked with your child’s name. We ask that no fizzy drinks be brought into school and in the interests of safety please make sure that drinks are not in glass containers. In addition, we request that you do not send nuts into school as we have pupils who have food allergies. We ask parents/carers to co-operate with our Healthy Schools Policy and avoid sending in processed or sugary foods.
At lunchtime the school employs a number of supervisory assistants to make sure your child is safe. Meals are supervised in the dining hall throughout the lunch time period and other supervisors are on duty in the classroom or on the playground depending on the weather!
Children are expected to show good manners and courtesy at all times to lunchtime supervisors and others. Any child who persistently misbehaves may be sent home for lunch either on a temporary or permanent basis.
