Trips and the curriculum
Where appropriate, school trips – or school visitors – are organised in order to deepen children’s understanding of the curriculum. All charges for educational school visits are voluntary and we try to help parents who have several children in school or are in receipt of benefits to ensure children do not miss out on these opportunities. Any request for assistance will be treated in the strictest of confidence by our office staff.
Young Voices
Young Voices is a yearly event which Stoke-on-Tern school took part in for the first time pre-Covid. We are hoping, now that things are returning to normal, to make this an annual feature of our school calendar!
Young Voices – For Parents
The Residential
Children in Year 6 have the opportunity to attend a residential trip at the end of the school year. This is an invaluable experience for children, supporting the development of their independence and personal responsibility – it is also a lot of fun!
Since 2011, the residential has taken place at PGL in Boreatton Park and every visit has been excellent! Further information about this trip can be found on the Darwin Class information page.
